Please review the general Policies and Procedures page for more information. The ATI TEAS platform will allow students to purchase exams, manage personal information prior to taking the exam, search for test centers, select score recipient institution s , and purchase study materials.
Once you register on ATI, make sure to note your username and password for the TEAS account you create, as you will need it to take your test.
TEAS requires that you go to their web site and pay their testing fee on the day of the test. When you come to take the exam, make sure your bring a credit card with you to purchase your exam and valid government issued ID. Again, this fee is just the purchase price of the exam, the proctor fee in part 1 above is separate. Payment of the test fee will be made directly to ATI on your exam day.
Note: You may have only one appointment at a time, and you may make an appointment up to one month in advance. A second appointment may only be made after emailing your test site to cancel an appointment, or after the first appointment date has passed.
Students with disabilities who may require accommodations alternative format, reader service, extended time, etc. Verification of disability will be required. Non-Texas State students who require accommodations must request that the office analogous to ODS at their school provide to us a list of approved testing accommodations to proctor txstate. Additionally, all examinees who require accommodations must complete an Accommodated Testing Request Form to test at either facility at least two weeks prior to the desired exam date.
Requests will be processed within two business days. Please note the operating hours for each campus testing center and available start times for the exam you wish to take when selecting your appointment time, and make sure to take into account additional time you may need.
Please be aware that computer technology is still imperfect, and occasionally technical difficulties may cause delays in any part of the process, especially related to computer-based tests. Therefore, we suggest that if your test has a deadline, that you take it sufficiently early to allow for scores to be received in time if such difficulties should occur.
The Testing Center strives to ensure that tests are administered, scored, and reported accurately, securely, and in as timely a manner as possible, but we cannot be responsible for your deadlines. We strongly recommend testing early. December and January appointments fill up quickly. Only scores from the TEAS taken within one 1 year of the application deadline for which the student is applying will be considered.
Within these parameters, students may select the TEAS score report to be included with their application to the undergraduate nursing program. Students will indicate their selection by uploading the appropriate score report into Nursing CAS with their other application material.
Note: Applicants can now submit their highest total score report. Remember you have limited TEAS attempts per our policy. Applicants cannot mix and match section Math, English, Reading, Science scores from different attempts. Applicants can only upload one TEAS score report.
